Our objective is to specialize in customer satisfaction. Many times departments / companies say they thought they had purchased exactly what they needed only to find it was too small, too big, not equipped properly, or a variety of other problems. In today’s world, most organizations are working from a fixed budget and need to purchase the most for their money. MERG will work for the customer by using the process contained in phase 1- 8 below to purchase the right vessel for your organizations needs. During this process, we will recommend the most modern equipment on the market that has been identified to complete the mission in a safe and efficient manner. You can contract us for the comprehensive consulting package or any phase / portion of the package for a fee. Here is how the consulting works: Phase 1 will use an in-depth process to identify your current and future needs. During this process, we will research your area by land and sea. We will look at current conditions, check growth patterns, and evaluate future possibilities. We will also investigate your needs, desires and plans for present and future growth. After the information has been collected and analyzed, a formal recommendation will be made regarding the possibilities that exist for your department / company. Phase 2 takes the information gathered in phase 1 and identifies the use of your vessel whether it’s firefighting, rescue, security, or a combination. This will begin the design of your new vessel. We will also begin to research and identify any specialized equipment necessary for your mission. Outfitting your vessel is a crucial and sometimes overlooked aspect of a successful program. Phase 3 will investigate funding and / or the need to find a funding source for your new vessel, equipment, training, and maintenance. Our staff retains grant writers and has access to several reputable companies / persons that can assist. Phase 4 is the writing of your vessels specifications document, selection of a product, and a manufacturer. We will assist you in writing your specification document that will be used to create the vessel that is right for your organization. At the end of the process, we will review the bids with you to ensure they meet your specifications. The conclusion of phase 4 is the selection and contractual agreement between you and a manufacturer. Phase 5 is the construction phase. With you, we will oversee the construction of your new vessel and act as your advisors through the construction process. We will assist with sea trials and ensure the vessel being delivered meets your specifications. Phase 6 explores the administrative aspects of your marine company. We will develop an infrastructure to start your new marine division or simply assist you in expanding your current infrastructure. Your infrastructure will need to include maintenance and training programs for the upkeep and safe operations of your new vessel and crew. This phase takes place simultaneously with construction. Phase 7 is the delivery of your new vessel. Phase 8 is the training of your personnel. MERG would be glad to perform the training of your marine division also. We can provide training costs as part of the consulting or under a separate contract.
